Birds
One of the first signs of spring is hearing the birds chirp! April is a great time to observe and learn about birds. Your preschoolers will love learning about all the different types of birds and being able to identify them. From backyard bird watching to making your own bird seed writing tray, this theme is packed with tons of fun.

Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22nd. This is a day where we celebrate, honor, and participate in activities that encourage people to take care of Earth. Easter
Easter is a time for egg hunts, bunnies, and everyone's not so favorite treat- peeps! All jokes aside, Easter allows for a great addition to your springtime curriculum. National Pet Day
April 11th is National Pet Day, and while pet owners celebrate their animals every day, it is a day to give them some extra love! This holiday is a great time to read about the different animals you can have as pets and an opportunity for your preschoolers to bring in a picture of their own furry, or not-so furry, friends!

Whether you have a dog, cat, bunny, or fish....pets are part of the family and they deserve to be celebrated. A pet theme allows students to learn all about all kinds of different pets and about what pets their peers have.

National Frog Month
Speaking of our pond friends, April is National Frog Month! Spend this month teaching your preschoolers about these cute creatures, and don't forget to have them practicing their best ribbit ribbit. We have an entire packet dedicated to frog science, and let me tell you...there is a lot to learn!
Month of Military Child
April is designated to honor the many sacrifices made by military families all over the world. This month places a special honor of those children whose parents served or are serving in the military. This is an excellent time to talk with your preschoolers about military families. Month of the Young Child
Last but certainly not least, April is designated as Month of the Young Child!
