Learning Spaces are commonly referred to as Learning Centers. These are small activity areas dedicated to a specific type of of play. These learning spaces allow children to build skills in specific developmental domains, as they play-which means less heavy lifting for you.
If you are short on space you can easily set up learning spaces on trays, on a shelf, or even in bins/drawers.
To create a learning space simply set out and arrange your learning center materials in your dedicated area, and allow the children to play! Allow children to use the materials freely with minimal adult direction.
