Introduce the positional phrases with the poster and then have available for reference while children are engaging in the activity.

Read the sentence aloud to your student, then encourage them to place the chipmunk in the correct location. Be sure to focus on and repeat the positional words throughout the book.
Follow up this activity by doing small group activities where children practice these positional words!
You can have them practice with a stuffed animal and a small box as well as with one another!
Be sure to use positional phrases frequently in daily interactions as well.
