Graphing and comparing numbers are fantastic skills for young children to practice. Preschoolers and kindergartners are working hard to master these skills. What's Included...This set includes the following activities for each of the 3-included scenes:
Take a closer look....There are 3 different cute Fall Scenes included with this pack. Children will use these scenes to complete the Graphing activity as well as the Counting and Comparing activity The count and clip cards are a fun way for children to evaluate the images and decide which side has more. **This is a great opportunity to use vocabulary such as: right, left, quantity, total, all-together, and greater-than. Learning to compare quantities is a great skill for young children! This mat is a fun way to develop and practice this skill. Children use the mat with the related fall scene. They choose two different object cards, then count those objects and find the correct numeral and place both on the mat. Then they compare the quantities and determine which has less and which has more. **I have included a poster for children and educators to reference when learning how to use the greater-than symbol. Here is a fun variation! Put hair gel (or slime, or other fun material) inside of a gallon size plastic baggie. Next, add some fun materials such as googly eyes, glitter, or Halloween/fall themed confetti (often found at the dollar store). Seal the bag and place over top of the Fall Scene. This adds a sensory element to the activity, students push the items around in the baggie to reveal the scene as they count the objects.
