Stamping With Recyclables Process Art Activity
Using recyclables in art a great way to encourage preschoolers to re-use materials and find new and creative art tools. This plastic bottle stamping art project is a great invitation to introduce during your Earth Day & Recycling Theme. See our stamping invitation below to spark ideas for your own exploration!
For this invitation, we chose to use a plastic water bottle and cap, this is a great starter set. Try getting adventurous and introducing all kinds of recyclables to get a variety of textures and patterns.
In this sample we created a flower scene using an empty water bottle. Your preschooler may wish to create a flower, something different, or simply enjoy the process of stamping with recyclables!
Squeeze paint onto palette for dipping, dip the bottle into the paint being used for the color of the flower.
Press the bottle on the paper to create the petals of the flower, keep stamping to create as many flowers as desired!
Dip the cap in paint and press in the middle of the petals. These could also be used to create the sun or even glue the caps to the center of the flowers for a 3d element.
Finger paint a stem and then use the side of the bottle to paint grass. This is a great way to integrate sensory play into an art project!
Allow to dry and display with pride!
This would also be a fantastic invitation to do out on the sidewalk with chalk or sidewalk paint.
Try paint stamping with a variety of recycled material to create an array of patterns and textures.
