Mix and Match Preschool Muffin Recipe

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and prepare muffin tins with baking spray or use fun muffin liners.
Are you singing The Muffin Man yet? Think of fun extensions of the song to go along with the recipe with your preschooler.
In a large bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt - stir
*There are so many wonderful aromas in this recipe, take the time to appreciate and notice each with your preschooler as you add them to the bowl.
In a separate bowl whisk applesauce, mashed banana, milk, and vanilla until well
*Tip: kids love cracking the egg themselves, try giving your preschooler a separate small bowl to crack the egg into so any shells can easily be removed before adding to the mixture.
Add wet ingredients to dry and mix well.
Be sure to let your preschooler do plenty of measuring and talk about measurement terms while making the muffins.
Scoop mixture into prepared muffin tins.
Add on any mix-ins that you like to make your own custom muffins!
Bake 15-17 minutes,
Cool 10 minutes in pan before moving to rack to cool completely.
