White Play Dough Recipe
We have the perfect recipe for creating a special white play dough with your preschooler for creating indoor snowmen.
Below you will find instructions and a free printable copy of our favorite white snow dough recipe, along with some fun suggested white play dough activities that are perfect for your snow and snowman theme!
For this recipe you will need:
½ C cornstarch
1 C baking soda
¾ C water

Combine ingredients in a saucepan and stir until combined. Cook on medium, stirring frequently until mixture starts to thicken. Stir constantly until a dough is formed. Remove from the pan and let cool for a few minutes before kneading to play dough consistency.
*Optional: Add a little glitter for some added shimmer
Want to add some color? Add food coloring gel if desired and continue kneading until color is even. You can split the dough up before coloring to make multiple colors. If using a liquid food coloring, add to the pan when you add the water.

Encourage creativity by setting up a snowman dough invitation!
Add a variety of snowman building elements to a tray such as mini pom poms, pieces of cut pipe cleaners, fabric scraps, twigs, mini bells, buttons, and round cookie cutters
Create a winter scene!
Use our winter inspired play dough mats (or a plastic place mat) to create a winter scene. Practice sculpting snowflakes, snowballs, and even marshmallows!
