Time to Get Crafting!
Cut cardboard tube to desired size. Assorted lengths will make a cute grouping.
Paint tube with black craft paint, let dry completely.
Another fun method would be to use mod podge and tissue paper.
Clip clothespins onto straw or chop stick and paint with black craft paint. Let dry.
Cut a long length of yarn for each sheep. Tape or glue end of yarn at top of the tube.
Then continue to wrap yarn to cover the entire area. Either tape or glue the end of the yarn to the tube.
This step is excellent for preschoolers developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Attach clothespins to the underside of the sheep by clipping them onto the yarn.
Cut a large circle/oval from the foam or card stock for the face. Then cut two smaller ovals for the ears.
Attach those on the side of the face. Then add eyes and a nose. Glue 2 or 3 small black pompoms to the top of the circle to look like fur.
Use glue to secure the face to one end of the yarn covered tube. On the other end, add a large black pompom for a tail.
Then sit back and enjoy your cute Baa Baa Black Sheep!
