Acorn Painting with Preschoolers
I love this painting with acorns art process for preschoolers! It creates fun designs and is fantastic to pair with a fun Squirrels & Acorns Theme!
Pour your paint into the tray or bowls. Add acorns.
Stir to coat with a spoon.
Then using the spoons, place the paint-covered acorns on the edge of the paper.
You can add one at a time or several of each color. Once your painted acorns
are on the paper, tilt the box or tray until they roll to the other side.
Then repeat this process until all the paint has been transferred to the paper. You can leave it as is, or re-dip the acorns in the paint and add additional acorn tracks until your desired look is complete. Remove paper.
Try this technique with other materials such as marbles or pine cones and compare the outcome!
Let dry completely. Hang for a unique fall decoration!
