Directions:Before making any recipe with preschoolers it's always important to talk about the essential first step..wash hands! Also don't forget to have a safety conversation, especially since you will be slicing the bananas. Peeling the bananas is a great step for your preschoolers to join in on. Once the bananas are peeled you will cut them in half like shown in the picture. Slicing bananas doesn't require a sharp knife so if you wanted your preschoolers to do this step try using a plastic knife. Once your bananas are sliced then you'll place a popsicle stick in the center of the banana starting at the cut side. This is super easy to do and after one demonstration your preschoolers will be able to complete this step on their own. Next make sure your yogurt has been stirred so it is nice and smooth, if you want to add a hint of sweetness, drizzle in some honey. Your preschooler will have a blast helping you with this step! After your yogurt is stirred, encourage your preschooler to dip each banana into the yogurt and place onto a baking a sheet. You may need to demonstrate how to do this, they will get the hang of it in no time! After each banana has been dipped into the yogurt, place them onto a wax lined baking tray which makes it easier to peel them off once they are frozen. Next comes every preschoolers favorite part....decorating the bananas with their favorite topping. For our recipe we chose to add sprinkles over the bananas. Your preschooler can choose a different topping for each banana. Coconut, fruity pepples, peanuts, granola and mini chocolate chips would all make delicious toppings! Place your baking sheet with the bananas into the freezer for about 2-3 hours until they are froze, then serve and enjoy. This recipe is simple to make and preschoolers will absolutely love the process! Yogurt Banana Popsicles are the perfect treat for preschoolers on a sunny day or as a special after-school snack. With their creamy texture and natural sweetness, these popsicles are sure to be a hit with even the pickiest of eaters. You May Also Like:
