Easy to Set Up
Up, up, and away! This set is easy to use. You can laminate each sheet or slip into sheet protectors for durability. Then simply set out with some pattern blocks.
Support Development and Learning
Pattern blocks are excellent for hand-eye coordination and developing fine motor skills.
As children play they are also learning spatial skills, geometry and strengthening color recognition.
Multiple Levels of Play
There are three different levels of mats included for each mode of transportation to challenge children at different skill levels. The mats with the blocks colored in are great for beginners!
**Teacher Tip: For students that are new to pattern blocks, consider setting out only the pattern blocks needed for the mat they are working on. As they become familiar with them set out all the pattern blocks to support planning, visual discrimination, and problem-solving
The B&W grid with lines supports students that are ready for a new challenge and are very familiar with this activity.
The 3rd level is the outline of the vehicle without any lines for students that have mastered this activity.
Circle the shapes used! Once the pattern is complete invite students to reflect on the experience and recall which shapes they used.
**Advanced students may wish to write the quantity of each block they used under the shape.
**Support executive function development by encouraging students to plan for the quantity of each shape they will need BEFORE they complete the activity.
