Things Providers look forward to every week

Sometimes your week can feel ho-hum. You might be feeling burned out (find some advice for handling that here), and that's why it's important to reflect on the things that bring you joy and happiness-those little things that help keep you motivated. Here is some great advice from Childcare Providers in our Community on what they look forward to every week.
  • The hugs and smiles! - Kathleen R.
  • After 20 something years I couldn't even think of what else I would do but teach. They might drive me crazy, but the love you get makes it worth it. - Jenni B.
  • Payday!! - Julia W.
  • Going into work each day and being greeted by the children! - Deb D.
  • Watching a child learn something new - Pam W.
  • Fun and special projects for science, cooking, and art! I love to see the "Aha!" moments... seeing the little "light bulb" go off when they understand something for the first time or see something cool happen! Those moments light up my heart and soul! -Ellie B.
  • The posts from parents re-sharing their pics from our FB group and saying something incredible like how much they love school or their teachers, or even how much they've learned - Vanessa R.
  • I have a sweet daycare girl who won't leave my home until she runs through the yard to find me a dandelion, or some sort of weed lol to give it to me with a hug good bye.. Also a little boy who needs like 3 mooches (side kisses) before leaving.. They all love when I sing, even though I am not a good singer lol. -Jennifer S.
  • Being able to be completely weird and goofy around the kids in a way that you can never be around adults. -Sarah D.
  • I love watching the children grow and learn over the time I have them...from babies to school age.. it's amazing how these little ones change so much in the short amount of time. It makes me feel like I have accomplished my part by getting them ready for school! -Stacy L.
  • Watching them grow and succeed after they leave they still stop by making such great lasting good memories. -Kris M.
  • Sitting in my 'teacher chair' outside while the kids run around outside. They visit me with dandelions, bugs, stories, untied shoes, hugs, or even a big roar. I love watching them run around and interact. We all love our outside time!! - Erin C.
  • I love the reactions when they come in at the first of the week and see new (or renewed) activities. I change the daycare area often so they never know what will be available for the week. Like the dress up and vanity I did for this week. -Sherry W.
  • I have one little who walks in every morning and says "Miss Debby, I'm home". That's enough right there... okay that and the tuition payment. lol -Debby S.
  • The kiddos! I get to see a couple at a church on Sunday but I MISS my kiddos lol - Tricia D.
  • The laughter, the hugs, the smiles and watching them grow and learn - Lindsay C.
  • The reaction they get when it clicks and the light bulb shines ever so bright, and when they laugh - Jermaine C.
  • The smiles and the giggles that come along with the days - Kristal T.
  • It will be a year for me in a week. I love being home with my kids. I love sharing the experience with their "friends". I love how it makes me feel as a person and a mom. I love running my own business. -Tammie H.
  • I feel so blessed to be able to spend my days helping these little ones grow. I get so thrilled, when I find a teachable moment, and can expand their learning through meaningful experiences. -Traci M.
  • I love it when the day finally comes when a behavior has worked itself out and the child feels much better about themselves. This is continuous in our work so it's always something to look forward too. It's something we work on daily and the child, their friends and myself feel better! Carla L.
  • I look forward to the weekend - Amanda C.
  • This is a weird one but : That distinct baby smell you can sniff in when hugging them,I love it! Mix of Laundry soap, and baby powder lol - Sylvie B.
