Although this post contains affiliate links (What's that?) this post was not sponsored by HP-I just had to pass on this awesome money saving tip! The reality is: Early Childhood Educators use a lot of ink. From printables to forms it's easy to spend hundreds of Dollars a year on ink cartridges. Want to know a secret? You could be savings hundreds of dollars a year on ink, and even receive some for free! My printer died this week, which of course sent me into a panic. In addition to creating printables, I also use my printer for printing a variety of homeschooling resources. I knew, before I committed to another printer, I needed to do some research on the models that would save me the most money on ink, because let's face it-what I spend on 2 ink cartridges costs more than my printer alone. No more needing to take out a loan to buy inkAfter doing some research, I came across the HP Instant Ink Program. With this program, you choose a monthly printing plan that works for you. I couldn't believe it! No longer would I need to cringe every time I printed a heavy ink full color page, or cringe when I accidentally print off 20 pages instead of 2 (this may or may not have happened). With the instant ink plan I chose, I now only pay $9.99/month and get up to 300 pages of full color printing every month. Wait it get's better...Now that part is nice, but even better your HP Instant ink compatible printer communicates with HP, and let's them when you are low on ink. So no more needing to make late night trips to the store, or going out in inclement weather just to find my cartridge is out of stock at the store (all true stories). Now, when my Printer senses I'm getting low on ink (and before I actually run out) HP mails me a new ink cartridge. In order to participate in this program you will need an eligible printer. HP offers a wide variety of printers that are compatible with their instant ink program. I found a great deal an HP Envy 4520 on Amazon. I love that I can print to this wireless printer from all of our devices anywhere in the house. It prints on a variety of sizes of paper an envelopes. It also prints double sided which is excellent for saving on paper, and creating multi-sided printables. What you will need:Choose the plan that works best for you:After you have an eligible printer, you can sign up for Instant ink. You'll have 3 choices based on your usage: If you run a preschool or childcare business, don't forget to save your receipts, and claim them on your taxes.
