I love reading books about the changing seasons! This post highlights one of my favorite fall books "Fletcher and the Falling Leaves" by Julia Rawlinson (An older release of this book can also be found under the title "The Fox and the Falling Leaves").
In this delightful story, Fletcher the fox desperately tries to save the leaves that are falling from the tree outside of his den. Throughout the story, Fletcher comes to realize the beauty of the changing seasons.
To compliment this book I've created a free leaf specimen activity. As your children find fall leaves, you can use this printable to record and document their specimens. This activity helps young children start to identify different characteristics of living objects.
