Optional Ingredients:
Directions: Step 1: Using a pretzel or knife, demonstrate how to spread the cream cheese on the crackers. Have your children spread the cream cheese evenly on all three crackers. After they have spread the cream cheese on the crackers, have your children carefully line up the crackers on the plate to create their snowman. Each snowman should have a head, body, and bottom. Step 2: Now it's time to add the buttons! The children can add raisins (or dried blueberries) for the buttons. Step 3: Let's add the arms! Your children (or you) will need to break the pretzel stick in half. Next, dip one end in the cream cheese spread and place each half on the snowman's body. Adding the extra cream cheese spread will help make your arms stick better! Step 4: Your children can add some eyes! You can either use dried blueberries or raisins cut in half for this. I chose to use dried blue berries because they were a bit smaller than the raisins. Step 5: With help. cut the orange slice in half and allow your children to place it on his face. Depending on the size of the orange slice, he might look a little like the infamous Olaf. Optional Step:
Step 6: Children can enjoy this delicious, nutritious snack! Teacher Tip To make this easier for you and the children, have a plate with all the necessary ingredients on it ready so your children only need to assemble their snowman. Encourage your children's creativity. Let them add additional items, or omit items to create their own unique creation. This is a fun way to have an afternoon snack when the weather outside is frightful! Enjoy and stay warm! Did you make this snack? We'd love to see it!
