Do you ever ask yourself what your preschool aged child should be learning? Here at Pre-K Printable Fun we use these PKPF Learning Standards to design our activities! This free checklist contains some of the outcomes you can expect your preschooler (ages 3-5 not yet in Kindergarten) to be working towards mastering as they are using our products.
The PKPF early learning standards describe over 50 preschool learning outcomes spanning the following 8 developmental domains: Social Emotional, Approaches to Learning, Physical Development (Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Health & Safety), Language & Literacy, Mathematics, Science & Discovery. Social Studies, and Art & Creativity.
These standards have been developed based on the research and study of common preschool learning domains accepted across many individual U.S States.
You will notice symbols representing the above 8 developmental domains being referenced in the instructions pages of many of my products, and on my site. These symbols make it easier for you to select appropriate PKPF activities to support the growth of your preschoolers.
Be sure to highlight the learning that is happening in your program as children play! In addition to our checklist, you will also find a set of preschool learning outcome posters in this download. Place them around your learning spaces for parents and staff, or send a copy home with parents.
