Start out by rolling two of the instrument cubes. Place them on the mat, then extend the pattern by adding more instrument cards.
Then, play the pattern using your musical instruments!Repeat the pattern a few times and then roll the cubes again to create a new pattern.

Once your preschoolers are familiar with this activity, add in the tempo cube to create fast or slow repetitions.
Once AB patterns are mastered,
work on ABB and AAB patterns.
Games that challenge children to recall information and match objects support preschoolers in developing attention to detail, attention span, and concentration. These cards also include the instrument names to support vocabulary development.
