Preschoolers will light up over this Camping Night Sky art exploration!
This art experience is a fun way to introduce glow in the dark paint to young children. Perfect to pair with your Camping Theme Activities.
Use a paint brush to splatter glow in the dark paint over the entire surface of the black construction paper to create the night sky, let dry.
Cut a triangle shape from the red construction paper to make a tent.
Paint the entire surface of the tent with glow in the dark paint, let dry. Cut a single line from the wide base of the tent about a quarter of the way to the tip - fold back as shown to create tent opening.
Glue tent in the middle of the black night sky, be sure to keep the flaps open.
Optional: Use black paint to paint silhouettes of trees, plants, etc. on the black night sky.
Use an orange or red glow in the dark paint to create a campfire at the tent opening.
Let the painting sit near bright natural or household light to charge it up.
Turn off the lights and enjoy camping under the stars!
