Your preschooler is going to love this name practice activity!
This activity combines 3 things that every preschooler loves: bubbles, daubers, and (most importantly) their name!
Print out plenty of copies to keep your writing center stocked all year long.
This free PDF is editable, so you can insert each child's name at the top of the page for them to trace and reference during the activity.
There are many ways you can use this activity sheet, here are some suggested materials:
Take a closer look...
This is all you need to set up an enticing invitation to engage in this activity. Easy enough to make available anytime.
Younger children can work on coloring in the letters of their name. Older preschoolers can trace the name more precisely, or you can choose to leave the top blank and encourage your preschooler to write their name on their own.
Encourage your preschooler to find the letters in their name, and tap them with the dauber!
If needed, remind them to look at their name at the top of their sheet for easy reference.
**Note: The letters in the bubbles are all lowercase. This presents an opportunity to talk about uppercase/lowercase letters as they try to find the letter their name starts with.
Once your child is done they can display their work on the wall, you can showcase it in their portfolio, slip it into a sheet protector for reference anytime, or take it home to show off!
Extend the fun!
You can extend this activity by offering another color and challenging your preschooler to dot the letters in their name with one color, and the rest of the letters with another color.
