Fake Popcorn Preschool Sensory Bin

Popped corn and kernels are a fun sensory experience for preschoolers.
Sometimes this isn't an option or you might be simply looking for an alternative sensory bin option.
This sensory bin is easy to set up and sure to be a hit with young learners.

Materials:

• Large bin or tray with tall sides
  
• Assorted scoops, spoons and tweezers
• Popcorn themed buckets, boxes or bags
• Plastic cups or bowls
• Yellow, white, and tan pompoms in a variety of hues
• Yellow tissue paper or a roll of crepe streamers
• Shredded paper -*optional
• Small yellow tissue squares for pretend butter pats - *optional

Add all ingredients to the base of your bin.

Then add your cups, scoops and popcorn boxes.
Adding fun tongs and tweezers is a great way to support fine motor development.
These adorable popcorn boxes can usually be found at dollar stores and are a fun addition.

This sensory box is an ideal addition to a PJ and movie day event. Or add it to a Movie Theater Dramatic Play space for a fun concession stand.
