Preschool Dinosaur Fine Motor Activities

Preschool dinosaur themed fine motor activities are a great way to engage young children in learning while also improving their motor skills. These activities can include things like painting, drawing, cutting and pasting, and even playing with dinosaur-themed toys. By incorporating a dinosaur theme, children can develop a love for learning about these prehistoric creatures while also improving their hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

Some popular activities include using play dough to create dinosaur shapes, using tweezers to pick up small dinosaur toys, and cutting out dinosaur shapes from paper. Overall, preschool dinosaur themed fine motor activities are a fun and effective way to help young children develop important skills that will benefit them for years to come.

Dinosaur Sweep and Find Activity

Pair this Dinosaur Sweep and Find activity with a sensory material of your choice (we used coffee grounds) and a paintbrush. Use the brush to sweep the mat and uncover a fossil. Then find the matching dinosaur on the mat.  Laminate the sweeping mat for durability, or place under a clear baking dish.

Dinosaur Dough Task Cards and Mat

This set includes 6 dinosaur dough task cards, each of a different dinosaur. Children can review the task card to inspire building their dinosaur, then create their dinosaur on the dough mat.  **We recommend either laminating the dough mat or using in a sheet protector.  You can also set up  play dough station with dinosaur cookie cutters and plastic toy dinosaurs for children to create their own dinosaur scenes. This activity helps with hand strength and fine motor skills.
