*Teacher tip: a heavy duty cardstock would also work for this activity! Directions:You'll start by using the clown shoe template to trace onto your paper. Preschoolers often like to help with this step which sometimes it can be difficult for them to do so you can give them their own paper to "practice." After you have cut out the template you will use the hole punch to make the eyes of the shoe along the top portion of the shoe. Hole punchers are an excellent tool for fine motor practice for preschoolers, this is a step that they can assist you with! Next, demonstrate the lacing by showing the preschoolers how to thread the yarn or shoelace through one of the holes. Guide them on how to move the lace in and out of the holes, following the outline of the shoe. After you and your preschooler have laced the entire shoe then the fun part begins...decorating! Provide your preschoolers with stickers, markers, gems, or whatever you have in your craft bin that you want to bring out. You can print out pictures of clown shoes so preschoolers can see how vibrant and different each clown's shoes really are! This is a fun and creative way to make something that your preschooler can hold onto and use to practice lacing and to learn to tie their shoes. Creating a clown shoe lacing card provides an engaging and hands-on activity for preschoolers. As they practice lacing the shoe, they develop essential fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. This activity also encourages creativity, as children can decorate the clown shoe with their own unique designs. By offering a fun and interactive way to learn, the clown shoe lacing card will keep preschoolers entertained while honing in on their motor skills. You May Also Like:
