Lay the bubble wrap flat and begin cutting into a coiled pattern. This is a great time to support preschoolers with proper scissor handling. Students could also draw the lines on the bubble wrap in advance to plan the shape of their snake. *Teacher Tip: For students having trouble remembering proper grip try drawing a smiley face on their thumbnail, they should always see the smiley face when cutting. Continue cutting and looping around. This might be difficult for preschoolers to manipulate and maneuver, fortunately the resulting shape doesn't matter and this is excellent practice for scissor control. Finish by adding some googly eyes for fun. Engaging in this activity supports fine motor skills, proper scissor handling, and a dash of creativity. The snake can be any size or shape! Wait, the fine motor fun isn't done! Last, but certainly not least...time to pop those bubbles! Popping those little bubbles is great for finger strength (hello pre-writing skills!) and great for hand-eye coordination. Buy the eBook!Save time planning your hands on preschool activities!
