An important component of any Early Childhood Education Program is Parent Engagement. Parent Engagement is a great opportunity to get parents involved with your early childhood program and become a real partner in the education of their children. Planning for Parent Engagement can be quite time consuming, so I have created this easy to assemble Parent Engagement Series as one simple way for you to promote parent engagement in your program.
This 55-pg. download includes everything you'll need to implement this series in your program including: instructions, a parent welcome letter (describing the program), 12 2-page monthly newsletters, and printable activities that align with the newsletters. Busy boards allow young children to explore otherwise "adult" items in a safe manner. Many of these busy boards contain items you find around your home such as locks, keys, and latches. Other types of busy boards include: Magnet Boards, Ball Runs, and Velcro boards. Your board can be made from existing toys such as puzzles, or busy boxes. Although many of the activities are mounted to the wall, they can also be made to use on the floor, or mounted to a table as well.. Below you will find some fabulous examples of DIY Busy boards that have been shared in our on-line community.
