Dramatic Play is an important part of the education of young children. When children are pretending, they are developing essential social-emotional skills! They are also practicing many other important skills such as math, literacy, and physical development.
One of the main purposes of the housekeeping space is for young children to practice activities that happen around the home-including cleaning!
Kids love helping around the house, and they also love using real objects.
With a little bit of elbow grease, and some basic tools you have around the home you can easily create your own child sized mop (or broom) from a regular sized one at the dollar store for only $1.
The construction area is a hub of action. There is so much learning happening in this space, from building towers-to creating cities. The work being done here is empowering the engineers of the future.
Items for this space can be particularly expensive. A quality set of unit blocks can set you back hundreds of dollars. You will also find the cost of building accessories, such as pretend people, vehicles, and building sets, starts to add up.

My Big find of the day were these Educational Posters. These can be turned into Educational Games, Magnets, Cards, and Velcro Pieces for Felt Boards.
Here is an example of how I turned a poster into Fruit Pieces for my Felt Board below: Simply Cut, Laminate, and attach a Sticky Pack Velcro Dot Hook to the back.
