Picnic Lunch Number Sorting Mats
Preschoolers are learning all about numbers and counting. Pair their love of learning with a fun picnic theme to learn some of the different ways numbers can be represented.
Half page picnic mats are the base for this activity, with the numeral in the corner.
Children work to sort the 7 different picnic food items to each mat for numbers 1-10.
Each food piece shows the number in a different way including: numeral, written number word, ten frame, dice, tally marks, fingers, and dominoes. Use all 7 pieces, or just a few to individualize learning.
