Soda and juice contain sugar & acid that is harsh on the enamel of our teeth. This experiment demonstrates what sugary and acidic drinks can do to your teeth.
You’ll need:
  • 3 fresh eggs (make sure there aren’t any cracks!)
  • 1 can of soda
  • White vinegar
  • 3 small, clear plastic cups (large enough to hold your egg)
Instructions:Place the eggs in your plastic cups. Fill one container with soda, the other with water, and the last one with vinegar. Have your preschool predict what each "tooth" will look like after soaking in the liquid overnight. Let the eggs sit in the liquids overnight, and compare your findings.

Talk about Fears surrounding the Dentist

Dental Health is an important topic for preschoolers. They are learning how to take care of themselves and learning about important people in the community. Talking about Dental Health gives children an opportunity to learn more about taking care of themselves, about the work dentist do, and it also helps alleviate  Children's fears around trips to the Dentist.

Be sure to check with your local Pediatric Dentist, sometimes they can arrange a visit with your preschoolers, or give you free resources and "Goody Bags" for the children in your care.
