1.Explain the symbols and vocabulary words inside the word bank on pg. 5
2.Read the story
*Extend this activity: Allow the children to practice reading the story. Add the words bank to your writing area to allow the children to create their own stories. Cut out the symbols on the word bank, and allow the children to use the cards to create their own stories.
The Bear’s Long Winter Nap-A Sequencing Activity pgs. 6-7
1. Print pg. 6 or 7 (B&W)
2. Laminate for durability (pg. 7 may also be used as a cut and paste activity)
3. Cut out the sequencing cards
4. Using the story on pg. 4 as a guide sequence the cards in the correct order on the mat.
