Scarecrow Emotions Build a Face
Your kids will have fun learning more about feelings and emotions with this cute Scarecrow Build a face activity. This set will help young children begin to recognize facial expressions related to feelings and emotions.
This 7 page activity includes the following:
A blank Scarecrow Feeling and Emotion Mat
10-Scarecrow Face Cards
10-Feeling and Emotion Cards: silly, tired, angry, calm, crying, scared, happy, laughing, sad, worried.
TOS & Graphics Credit
Place emotion cards in a pile, and spread out the face pieces on the table or on the floor. Have your student try to locate the matching face piece and place it on the scarecrow emotion mat. Play continues until emotions have been created.
•Make a face and find the matching emotion card
•Place the mat inside a dry erase pocket and use with dry erase markers to draw the emotions onto the scarecrow.
•Laminate the mat or place it inside a page protector and combine it with play dough. Use dough to mold the emotions.
Extend this activity:
•Provide your child with a mirror to practice re-creating these feelings and emotions. Discuss circumstances where they might feel happy, sad, etc.
