Let's help get started!
Step 1: Round them Up! Pull out all of your Outdoor Toys.
Step 2: Take a "Before Photo" and share it in our Facebook Group!
Step 3: Group like items together:
Consider the condition of your toys, the ages you provide care for, and the number of children in your care. For example if you only care for 6 children is a necessary for you to have 10 Hula Hoops?
Step 5: Now that you know what you have left, You can Find a Home for your Outdoor Toys and start organizing them.
Below I've linked up several options for outdoor toy storage. Do you have a place in your Garage that is accessible to your outdoor play area? Can you add a few Shelves in your Garage? Do you have a Storage Shed, or Deck Box? How about a DIY Storage Option? If you are short on space, consider a portable cart that you can wheel back and forth with you!
I've linked up some Webspiration for you below!
I love this DIY Kids Car Garage posted on Mom Endeavors. With a few modifications you could create a similar structure over outdoor shelving as well.
If you have an overhang, consider an Outdoor Shelf. When selecting outdoor storage options consider the material. Choose Bins or Buckets that can withstand the weather, and remember to drill holes for drainage. Mesh Bags. and Plastic Laundry Baskets are low cost options for Outdoor Storage.
If you are handy with DIY Projects, Consider this $30 DIY Shed.
When you are looking for a "Home" for your Sand Toys, consider locating them near your Sand Area. This will make them easier for Children to Access, and Put Away.
If you are short on space, consider a portable cart that you can wheel back and forth with you!
If you decide to build a unit for storage, consider outdoor benches that serve a dual purpose of seating and Outdoor toy storage!
If you go with an Deck box, or similar storage unit-Consider "Containerizing" it.
Add additional bins that fit inside for each "Category".
