I have added a new Animal sorting printable to my Member's Only Area.
This printable is a great addition to your Pet's & Veterinarian Theme
I've designed this printable to be used with the T.S Sure Favorite Pets Wooden Magnet Set, however it can be used with any animal "Manipulatives" of your choice.
For this early Science activity Children take turns sorting the animals by different
animal covering characteristics. The children will decide if each animal has Fur, Feathers or Scales.
This is also a great opportunity to engage the children in new vocabulary. You can discuss different ways these animals can be sorted (Can they fly? swim? How many legs do they have? etc.)
If you haven't joined the Daycare Spaces and Ideas members only area, and you are interested in joining you can find additional information on Joining below.

Having a Dental Health Theme allows children to learn more about taking care of themselves, and it also helps alleviate some Children's fears around trips to the Dentist.
Be sure to check with your local Dentist, sometimes they can arrange for you to visit with your group, or give you free resources and "Goody Bags" for the children in your care.

Paint with a Toothbrush activity from Scrumdilly-do
Fingerpaint Tooth Painting- Daycare Spaces and Ideas Community Member Monica V. of Monica's Monsters had her kids paint the yellowed Teeth white using finger paints. She also suggested having the older children use a paintbrush for this activity.
Tic-Tac Teeth: For this project the kids at Monica's Monsters pressed tic-tacs into toothpaste (You could add a few drops of red food coloring or liquid water color to change the color of the paste). She noted this project takes a few days to dry. After it was dry, she used it as a model to show good flossing, and brushing techniques. (*Note she originally used Denture Cream in this photo, but it didn't harden)
