Set this activity up in a basket or on a tray, then place in your literacy center or set out on the table during free choice time.
This activity not only supports literacy development as preschoolers explore phonemes, it also supports finger strength and dexterity development.
**Teacher Tip: Try clothespins in a variety of sizes. Larger ones take more strength for children to open and smaller ones require more hand-eye coordination.
You can also do this activity with a dry erase marker, or leave the sheet whole and have students circle the letters on the page.
Any way you choose to use this activity, your preschooler will have fun while learning beginning sounds.
