I finally had the chance to pop into the Dollar Tree and Target this weekend. Our Dollar Tree is in the process of transitioning over to Christmas (so be sure to pop in quick if you are needing to snag some last minute fall items).
Our Daycare Spaces and Ideas Member have been posting some fabulous items from Target so I made an extra special trip there as well, This is a long one .. I found so many fun things to share! Grab a cup of coffee (or your favorite beverage) and Enjoy!
P.S Be sure to grab your freebie at the bottom of the post!
First Stop... Dollar Tree!
Our store had massive amounts of Christmas Decor. One of my favorite items to pick up during this time are Holiday Window Clings (Kiddos love them!) and Seasonal Refrigerator Magnets.
Here are a few more! These would be great for sorting by shape or color.
These Reindeer Antlers are perfect for the Dramatic Play area for
"Santa and His Helpers Week"
If you are looking for some plastic ornaments for your pretend play space, be sure to hit up the dollar store. They had these clear bulbs in different sizes. They can be used to make fun crafts as well.
As always the Dollar Tree has a nice variety of Holiday Crafting Items.-this is the first time I ran across these "Gem Stickers".
I found these cardboard small world play building in the Toy aisle. In addition to a doll house they also had a farm, and a fire station.
I thought these gumball machines could be turned into a super group counting game. Using pompoms take turn rolling a die and adding pompoms to the machine. Game play continues until all pompoms are added.
These frames make another great School Age craft,!
Next stop.. Target!
(feel free to take a stretch break....)
Target had a huge section of Christmas Craft kids. I thought these would be awesome for school age kiddos. This kit makes 20 for $5.
Target has an adorable selection of Christmas Wall Vinyl. I love this
Quick Stick Christmas Tree.
This Thankful Tree Kit will save you time!
One of my favorite craft activities is stamping with cookie cutters. It's easiest enough for even the youngest child. They are also great for play dough. Our Target had a HUGE selection and only .99 each!
These "Memory" Type matching games were in the Dollar Spot. These are great for Science.
Lacing Cards are such a great fine motor activity! Our store had a great variety,
such a great deal!
These Magnets would be perfect for community helper week!
It's so hard to find Christmas Magnets-I thought this set was so great for the Holidays
This adorable Gingerbread house puzzle is great for practicing shapes and perfect for sweet treats week.
You can find these HUGE uppercase magnet letters in the Dollar Spot.
I knew when I saw this set of Number and Shapes Magnets I had to make an activity for it! I just love the vibrant colors of these magnets.

I've also included this shape mat to use with the Shape Magnets in this set as well! You will also find a B&W Ink Saver Version in this download as well!
