Are you a creative early childhood educator with a passion for hands-on learning and curriculum design? Do you love planning playful, purposeful activities that support preschoolers' development? If so, you might be the perfect pick for our team! We’re looking for a Curriculum Assistant (contractor) to support the planning and development of fun, educational resources for our preschool-focused platform.

Please Note: To avoid conflicts of interest, we prefer candidates who aren't currently selling their own educational resources or running similar businesses.

What You’ll Do:

  • As our Curriculum Assistant, you'll collaborate with our team to help build and organize engaging early learning materials that align with Pre-K standards. You’ll work behind the scenes to keep our curriculum rooted in best practices, while making it fresh, fun, and teacher-friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Mapping & Planning
  • Review and work within early learning standards to develop theme-based curriculum maps
  • Break big ideas into bite-sized learning objectives
  • Draft unit overviews with vocabulary, target skills, and materials
  • Plan pacing and sequence across themes
  • Suggest differentiated learning options
  • Support creation of hands-on activities and simple assessments
  • Keep curriculum documents up-to-date in PowerPoint
Content & Product Ideation
  • Brainstorm creative resource ideas based on classroom trends and educator needs
  • Identify product gaps and recommend solutions
  • Maintain a product ideas list in Airtable
Scope Writing
  • Write clear, structured scopes for new activities and units
  • Align content with preschool learning standards
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure clarity and consistency
  • Revise content based on team feedback
Lesson Plan Support
  • Draft lesson outlines and summaries
  • Create hands-on activities that promote active learning
  • Collaborate with educators to ensure practicality and flexibility
  • Organize and revise lesson materials as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Located in the U.S. and authorized to work as a 1099 contractor
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education (ECE, preschool, Pre-K, or curriculum writing)
  • Strong understanding of early learning standards (e.g., state or NAEYC-aligned frameworks)
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in tools like PowerPoint and Airtable
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in content development, homeschool planning, or product design!
